DAMN you verizon!

DAMN you verizon! part alot of alot

received a new bill in the mail from the old phone i had for 74.95
I call yet again... how many times has this been for the same issue!?

3:27pm called verizon
a lady answered Julie something.

3:36pm nothing has happened yet i have just sat on hold with "Julie"
every few mins she comes back on the line and verifies some more personal account information with me.
both phone numbers
my account numbers
and my cell phone number i gave them.
she says oh is that a verizon cell phone number?
and i have to go into my little speech about how
then runs off and puts me on hold and calls the dsl side of the company to find out why they are still billing me

3:44pm says she can't get a hold of the right department and she is going to have it investigated by a special team and that if i don't here from next wednesday call back.

I explained to here when I set up the dsl in November 20th it was supposed to be 17.99 a month for a year and a 5 dollar a month credit applied to that for the first 6 months.
WHY? There was an online promotion for $14.99 but it was an online exlusive deal. BUT since I had to call in to do the change of address (no way to do it online) they gave me that deal instead.
It was incorrect on my first bill for my new house (got 2 one for each house),
I also explained to here that i had spoke a month ago when i got the last bill to a previous rep and said that it would be straighted out on the next bill.
Which it wasn't obviously.

she apologizes and says that there was a glitch in there system for that promotion and she will put me on hold to see if it's one there still of why it fell off.

3:47pm puts me on hold again.
damn it's not x-mas anymore what's up with the x-mas hold music.

3:51pm she came back on and took my cell phone number for them to call me back .

and she transferred me to her supervisor who is trying to see with her manager if they can give me the credit.

4:00pm gave the new rep my cell phone number to validate the account.
she is putting a $30.00 credit on my account regarding this.

the 30 $ credit will be applied on the bill immediately but not viewable till possible next month
new balance is
$29.10
written confirmation on January 25th bill

she is going tomorrow along with her supervisor switch me to the $14.99 a month plan her words "I'll work it tomorrow to switch you to the 14.99 a month plan"

I can go online with my customer code to log in with my phone number _ _ _customer code to access my account with the new phone number.

4:08pm end call "enjoy your services and we'll talk to you tomorrow" her exact words.
since her and her manager are done for the day they will switch my plan tomorrow. She needs the manager aproval (she got it i could hear her (in the background) ask her manager as she (manger) was walking out the door for the night.

Blockbuster instead part 2

got a lady on the line

i explained the problem to her but well she's doing
what it sounds like is finishing up the notes on a previous call

done verifying the account at 1:58
and she looks at my account
lots and LOTS of silence is going on here

weird she needs my password to sign in to my account on the web to look up the error

she see's it 1:59

she tell's me to click the "lock" icon and unlock the collection.
I do that an am able to remove the duplicates it threw in there.

I notice that it says "short wait" for them and ask her how long that's going to be.
she says that a short wait on would be about 2 weeks for me to get them.
damn that's long for the 1st batch of dvd's at the top of my queue
she offers to check the stores around my area for them to see if there in stock...

she give me the location for the some stores.
2 of them are in my area.
and then out of the blue she says she can send my some e-coupons so I can go rent them tonight!

THAT's DAMN COOL!!!

let's try Blockbuster instead

so i got sleepy last night and didn't bother to call netflixs back.
didn't feel like spending a half hour on hold again.
today when i got home i saw that my money is correctly back in my bank account.

so i go ahead and sign up with blockbuster...

after i sign up i do a search for the office and select season 2 to add to my queue.
IT ADDS 2 copies of each dvd to my queue (see picture)

i call blockbuster's 800 number i see on there site at

1:33pm 1-866-692-2789 busy
and busy and busy and busy

god bless redial and speaker phone!

1:38 pm i get thru and in my eagerness to pick up the phone i hit "end call" instead of end speaker phone.

5more calls later it stops being busy.

1:40 muddling thru the ivr.
it is really simple all i did was hit 1 for English and 1 for a representative.
damn this hold music is annoying!

it's a non stop commercial for blockbuster online blah blah blah

1:44pm still on hold...
oh my god i know already automated commercial that i need to keep 30 movies in my queue so there will always be one to ship.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO TELL ME 8 TIMES A MINUTE!
