VERIZON putting me in collections

4:02pm received YET another bill for my old phone number from verizon
(I moved 10 miles away on Dec 1st. verizon gave me a new landline number and transfered my dsl account.)
it says it's my final bill and it may already be turned over to a collection agency.
it's for 112.90

called verizon at 800-483-3000
automated system hung up on me

automated system HUNG UP AGAIN

"Erica" in collections
explained to the rep what was going on she is looking into it.
she said she will put a dispute in the account and that she can not
do anything more but she is going to stay on the line with me
and transfer me to "service" department.
cause collections can't do anything about it.

"Kathy Black" the phone explained to her my situation.
she is looking at the account.
The account is disconnected for landline and it's a problem with verizon dsl is billing me
800-567-6789 and she is transferring me
press 221 in the ivr to reach them.
she transfered me at 4:18pm
put my info in the IVR and and am on hold 4:19pm
reached a rep at 4:21pm
"Mister Smith" answered the phone
and explained to him the situation
he says it was never canceled and that it's in the system.
he will issue a credit for the last 3 months and cancel the account.
4:25pm on hold while he's doing that?
not on hold 4:26pm
is getting me a credit for 113.85
"he thinks it hasn't been turned over to a collection agency"

for the credit
and he is getting the Broadband team on the phone. so they can cancel it.
and then back to the collection department so they can i don't know.

explained yet again the situation

service has been discontinued
4:39pm is transferring me over the the collections department.
BUT he first tried to upsell me some anti virus/pop up blocker
4:40pm "Saundra" in collections
sees the "dispute" in the system she won't see the credits for a month
states IT HAS NOT been turned over to a collection agency.
4:45pm confirmed my address to mail out something stating that i owe NOTHING!

and 1 that the account was put into collections in error
